"For Hunters by Hunters"
| Welcome to an exciting new concept in waterfowl conservation. Valley Waterfowl is a non profit organization designed “for hunters by hunters.” Our goal is to improve hunting opportunities for our members by working with area landowners to improve wetlands and habitat for local ducks and geese. We work to increase waterfowl numbers by installing mallard nesting huts, wood duck boxes, and providing directed predator control methods in specified areas. Duck and goose hunting is part of our heritage, and because of this we have began to secure hunting locations through leases that are available to our members on a draw basis. Once we have raised the necessary funding through contributions, we plan to purchase our own properties, which will be designed specifically to benefit waterfowl and to provide increased hunting opportunities for our members. |
ATTN: First Time Hunters Valley Waterfowl has access to Cougar Wetlands by BLM permits, with the following restrictions. 2009/2010 Season Waterfowl Hunt opportunity for first year hunters, boys and girls under age 16 with a Hunter Safety Certificate dated on or after February 1, 2009. Or any female over 16, preferably a first-year hunter, but not required. No other applicants permitted. Click here for more information, application and application fee information. |
